Queensland Writers Group
The Queensland Writers’ Centre (“QWC”)
required a website redesign that would create administrative efficiencies
for QWC, as well as provide up-to-date information for QWC members and
stakeholders. An efficient and cost-effective content management system
was a high priority in achieving this aim.
Speedwell’s initial strategic
planning focused on the long term overall needs for the organisation.
This initial strategic planning led to the development of a first phase
solution that leveraged many benefits of Internet technology. The
end solution streamlined administrative processes with minimal deployment
costs and provides a single interface with high levels of accessibility.
The eBusiness application developed by Speedwell utilises a database that
contains information on members collected when the person joins online
or when QWC sets up a member account via the self administration facility.
The system contains the following additional features:
- workshop and events management
- job referral service
- online bookshop
